Pneumatic Forklifts

Pneumatic lift trucks are known as pallet lift trucks or pump trucks and are widely used in warehouses and delivery facilities to transfer materials on pallets. Pneumatic jacks consist of a pair of metallic forks mounted on a wheeled counterbalance that has a pump. The pump is used to lift and lower the forks.

It is imperative to visually inspect the pallet vehicle prior to loading any materials and to make sure the handles move effortlessly, the pallet vehicle turns properly, and the jack is clear of any potential obstacles. Inspect the freight to make certain that there will be minimal opportunities for anything to drop off during lifting and transport. Discharge any air in the pump and let down the blades to the floor by squeezing the handle installed on the inside of the steel ring on the end of the handle. Run the blades into the slots in the pallet and make sure the blades are centered so that the pallets’ weight is evenly spread.

By pumping the pneumatic jack handle the forks will ascend from the ground. Once there is full clearance, you can discontinue pumping as there is no need to raise the jack to any further extent. To move the pallet lift, you can pull the handle behind you. It is not recommended to push the pallet truck. There will be a huge amount of momentum present. Avoid quick or sharp turns and you should not stop too abruptly. Gently bring the pallet to a stop where you would like to park it. Squeeze the handle within the handle end to return the forks to the floor. Withdraw the blades and restore the pallet lift to a fitting parking area or continue onto the next undertaking.
